Beauty Salon Services

The pharmacy employs a fully qualified beautician to carry out a full range of beauty treatments such as waxing, facials, massage and tanning. Although appointment is advisable, many of our clients avail of treatments ‘while they wait’ on prescription dispensing.

Managing Your Medicines

This is a free service for people who regularly take a number of different medicines. The aim of the service is to help people understand their medicines and assist with any queries or compliance problems they may have. The consultation (typically 1 hour) is held in the confidential and private consultation room of the pharmacy or in the patient’s home. The G.P. is also contacted of the outcome of the service and records updated if necessary.

Smoking Cessation Service

The pharmacists also provide a service for clients committed to trying to stop smoking. The programme used is a pharmacy model which has been shown to have success rates of 64% quit rate at 4 weeks. The pharmacists weekly interventions help motivate the client and supervise the use of NRT (nicotine replacement therapy) e.g. patches. The service is one to one with the pharmacist and open to all ages. Appointments are necessary prior to commencing.

Health Check Monitor

Our health check monitor is a simple and accurate machine installed in a quieter area of the pharmacy. It measures blood pressure, weight, height and BMI (body mass index). For a £1 charge you get a printout which may be taken to your G.P. or practice nurse if necessary.

Customer Car Park

As the pharmacy is situated on a busy thoroughfare we have provided a 15 space car park to the rear (including disabled parking) and a second customer entrance.

Photographic Services

We currently meet all film developing and printing requirements including on site digital printing. We have installed a photo me digital printing kiosk allowing instant prints from your digital media.

We provide digital passport photos ‘while you wait’. No booths to contend with. Our staff will take the photo until you are happy with the portrait. Furthermore, we can offer you a variety of photo formats, photo key-rings, and one off photos of your kids or thumbprint photos for student CVs or identity cards.

Magnetic Therapy

We have a specialist interest in magnet therapy and have seen some very good results over the years. The products used are premium quality products often combining other technologies.
